Donald Trump unfit to be president says USATODAY,after 34 years of not taking side

Image
USAToday has been around for 34 years, and they’ve never picked a side in an election. However that changed on Sept. 29. They say that during each election, they reconsider whether or not they should back a nominee. Since their inception, they have decided against it time after time. “We’ve never seen reason to alter our approach. Untilnow.” Yikes!“This year, the choice isn’t between twocapable major party nominees who happen to have significant ideological differences,”USA Todaysays. “This year, one of the candidates — Republican nominee Donald Trump — is, by unanimous consensus of the Editorial Board, unfit for the presidency. From the day he declared his candidacy 15 months ago through this week’s first presidential debate, Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness and honesty that America needs from its presidents.” Wow! For them to feel that they had to say something to their varied readers is huge. They also included along lis

Nigeria at 56 by Reuben Abati

Read his piece below...     As Nigeria marks its 56th Independence Anniversary, very few Nigerians would expect any form of celebration or excitement. Independence from colonial rule in 1960 has brought the country so much to be cheerful about, but 56 years later, also a lot of regrets.I am not one of those who imagine that wewould probably have been better off if we had remained under British rule, but that there are some Nigerians who still entertain such impossible thought indicates the depth of the people’s anxiety about Nigeria’s post-colonial reality.     The big issues are well-known: the failure of leadership, corruption, and perpetual anxiety about the future. Every October 1, Nigeria is described as “a crippled giant”, a“toddler”, “a broken nation”. And the various editorials, year after year sound so repetitive as they focus on an economy that is not working, the failure of public infrastructure, leadership crisis, the bad habits of the political elite, religious and

Donald Trump Sniffles during Presidential Debate, and people want to know why

Image
The very first presidential debate between Donald Trump, 70, and Hillary Clinton, 68, was just as bonkers as we were expecting it to be! However, we definitely didn’t expect Trump’s health to be taken into question! After digginginto Hillary for weeks when she had a simple coughing fit during a Des Moines rally, and subsequently comingdown with pneumonia, Trump couldn’t stop sniffling during the September 26 debate!Naturally, voters immediately latched onto that beautiful piece of irony and wouldn’t let go, rushing to Twitter to share their thoughts about his curious sign of illness. Some people mercilessly piled on the jokes about how Trump was “hiding something” about his health — just like he accused Hillary of doing! Others mocked him with pics of his Donald Trump brand handkerchiefs. Rude, but hilarious! Here are some of the best reactions to Trump’s unfortunate, ill-timed common cold (…or worse??): Of course, thousands and thousands of people all over the country tu

She delivered the best zinger of the night in response to criticism from Trump for staying off the campaign trail recently."I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate," she said. "And yes, I did. And you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be President. And that is a good thing."Trump came out swinging at the beginning of the debate, and made some effective points on the economy and jobs -- some of the aspects of his out

The final showdown, The clinton-Trump debate

Image
This is it - the last extend of the US presidential race. After a crusade that began back in the early days of 2015, we're currently only six weeks from the race. The first of three presidential level headed discussions happens on Monday night - and there is bounty to pay special mind to as the hopefuls edge nearer and nearer to each other in the surveys. What's in question? The open deliberations are the last, most obvious opportunity for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to put forth their defense to the country. Neither one of the candidates will have the capacity to order the consideration of the American open the way they will in the three up and coming presidential level headed discussions. Also, no open deliberation will have as expansive a crowd of people, or do as much to shape open view of the hopefuls, as this initial one. There's a decent risk Monday night's issue will break the record of 80 million Americans who watched officeholder Jimmy Carter
