Antonio Pampliega, Jose Manuel Lopez and Angel Sastre disappeared from the northern city of Aleppo 10 months ago. Parts of Aleppo are controlled by rebel groups including so-called Islamic State (IS), who have kidnapped and killed journalists in the past. It is not yet clear who kidnapped Mr Pampliega, Mr Lopez and Mr Sastre. The Spanish government statement said that the men were safe and well, and waiting in Turkey to be brought back to Spain. The statement said allies including Turkey and Qatar were instrumental in freeing them. A huge wildfire raging in the Canadian province of Alberta is growing further and could spill in to neighbouring Saskatchewan, officials say. Hot, dry and windy conditions are hampering efforts by hundreds of firefighters to tackle the blaze. The flames have already caused the evacuation of 80,000 people from the oil city of Fort McMurray. Thousands are still stuck north of the city and their evacuation will now not be completed before Sunday. "In no way is this fire under control,'' said Alberta Premier Rachel Notley. The wildfire now covers an area of more than 200,000 hectares (495,000 acres), which includes areas still ablaze and areas already burnt. "Fire conditions remain extreme," said the Alberta Emergency Management Agency late on Saturday. There is the possibility of rain on Sunday and Monday. The leader of North Korea has said the country will not use nuclear weapons unless its sovereignty is threatened, state media in the country report. North Korea first tested nuclear weapons in 2006, after withdrawing from an international treaty. It has made repeated threats of nuclear strikes against South Korea and the US. But Kim Jong-un reportedly told the Workers' Party Congress in Pyongyang that he is willing to normalise ties with previously hostile countries. A correspondent in North Korea says Mr Kim tends to send mixed messages and movement observed at the country's nuclear site is consistent with preparations for another nuclear test. State media quoted Mr Kim as saying there should be more talks with South Korea to build trust and understanding.
