       Leading professional services firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in a recent report presented to the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja and titled Impact of Corruption on Nigeria’s Economy has shown that corruption could cost Nigeria up to 37% of Gross Domestic Product, GDP by 2030 if itis not tamed completely and immediately.The report noted that corruption is a pressing issue in Nigeria which affects public finances, business investment as well as standard of living. It listed three dynamic effects of corruption to include; Lower governance effectiveness, especially through smaller tax baseand inefficient government expenditure.The PwC team was led by Mr. Uyi Akpata, Country and Regional Senior Partner West Market Area.    The Nigeria Police Division in Rumuepirikom Rivers state, on October 18, 2016, arrested three fraudsters responsible for the circulation of fake currency notes.  They are Andrew Ogah (male) Ozoemena Okeke (male)’, and Helen Ozoemena Okeke (female).    The suspects photocopied N500 and N1000 denomination notes of  the Nigeria currencies and were apprehended when Mr. Andrew went to deposit the money in a new generation bank.    The police are carrying out Investigatiom, as the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations is completed.     Acting Director of Public Relations Of The Army, Col. Sani Usman, says 13 soldiers have been wounded, while many are missing after Boko Haram attacked the troop’s location at Gashigar, border area with Niger Republic, northern Borno State on Monday October 17th.
