Former FCT Minister Bala Mohammed, Arrested by the EFCC over N1trn Land Swap Fraud

Bala Mohammed the immediate past Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, was reportedly arrested by the Economic Financial Crime Commission  yesterday October 24th.            According to Vanguard, he was arrested over suspected multiple criminal breeches, questionable schemes and alleged breaches while in office. His arrest followed a number  of petitions filed against him by individuals and group since 2013.

EFCC arrest man for N229m

The EFCC on Monday, October 24, 2016 arrested  one Sunday Evbodaghe and his company, Sunnivik Rivera Nigeria Limited, and brought them before Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of the Lagos State High Court on a 4-count charge of stealing, forgery and obtaining by false pretence.

Nigerian Buisneess Tycoon Tony Elumelu met with America Billionaire counterpart, Bill Gates at the Le Cub l’Economie in France where they both spoke about the new role of global philanthropy and its increasing influence on business, politics and culture.The event organized by Le Monde a French Leading Newspaper, Tony Elumelu who is the Chairman of Heirs Holdings and United Bank for Africa, wrote on his Facebook page:       ‘I called for more "structured philanthropy" in Africa, especially targeting young entrepreneurs with great potential, and invited French investors and the largerglobal development community to join the Tony Elumelu Foundation in supporting thousands of African startups that are already transforming our continent for good.’
