Alhaji Farouk Umar Farouk the Emir Of Daura and his beautiful young wife, Gimbiya Aisha Umar Farouk christened their first child,a girl, together today, January 3. The name Halimatu Sadiya Umar Faruk was given to the baby girl .On February 2007Umar Farouk became the 60th Emir Of Daura ,he was born in 1931. He got married to Gambiya in mid 2015.

The Federal Government of Nigeria have started the monthly payment of N5,000 to poorest citizens      On  Monday, Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, released an official statement saying that the federal government stated that the payment was effected through the Conditional Cash Transfer, CCT, of the government’s Social Investment Programmes, SIP. . One million Nigerians would receive N5,000 monthly payments under the CCT as a form of social safety net for the poorest and most vulnerable as budgeted for in the 2016 Budget. Akande added that many of the beneficiaries have already reported receiving their first payments in the first batch that commenced last week. “In the first batch that commenced last week, nine states would be covered.” The statement listed the Nine pilot states as Borno, Kwara, Bauchi, Cross Rivers, Niger, Kogi, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti states as states in the first batch to commence the CCT payment.

Brigadier General Abubakar Rabe ,the acting director on Defence Information while speaking to the Nation has said the war against Insurgency is over and the Nigeria Army has won.He said: “The war on Boko Haram insurgency is over, I can assure you of that. We have won the war against the terrorists, but from this year, we will concentrate on post-conflict repairs in the Northeast; that is the nextchapter in our history.We will also intensify our mop-up operations againstthe remnants of the terrorists, we are focusing on eliminating them in their hideouts and we are warning members of the public, especially the communities in the Northeast and other parts, to be wary of fleeing Boko Haram terrorists and report them to security agencies. This is necessary because they are in disarray” he said
