Strayed dogs poisoned in Pakistan

Image
See the way these dogs ended up.Disgusting right??? Officials have poisoned hundreds of dogs in Karachi, Pakistan in the latest effort to curb a population of strays that attack thousands of people each day. Bodies of dead dogs are seen littered around the cityas municipal workers gathered them for disposal.Officials estimated the operation had culled thousands of strays but did not have a full accounting for all six city districts."At least 700 dogs have been killed only in two areas of Karachi's south in the couple of days," said Sattar Javed, a spokesman for the municipal authority. The periodic culling of stray dogs using poison tablets hidden in chicken has drawn criticism from animal rights activists but a city official, Mohammad Zahid, said it was necessary because packs of strays posed a threat to residents. Man Paid to have sex with girls denied bail in Malawi

A Malawi court Friday denied bail to an HIV-positive man who is facing charges of having sex with more than 100 adolescent girls as part of initiation rites into womanhood. Eric Aniva, 45, was arrested last month, after he revealed that families paid him between four and seven dollars to have sex with their children, in a traditional custom meant to prepare them to become good wives. Magistrate Anderson Masanjala denied him bail saying “it is wise for Aniva to remain on remand so that police can finish their investigation.” He appeared before a packed courtroom without a lawyer, because he could not afford one. He could be jailed for life if found guilty of underage sex.Aniva, who is from Malawi’s southern district of Nsanje, isone of the men known as “hyenas” who are paid to have sex with young girls after their first menstruation. He is said to have slept with at least 104 women, some girls as young as 12-years-old.The ritual lasts three days. Last month Malawi’s President Pete

By beating her sisterVenus Williams,6-2, 1-6, 6-3, at the 2015 U.S. Open on Tuesday,Serena Williams cleared perhaps the most difficult hurdle in her path toward what would be a historic calendar-year Grand Slam."She's the toughest player I've ever played in my life," Serena said of big sister Venus in her post-match interview (via the ESPN broadcast). That's not just some conciliatory kindness Serena showered upon a defeated Venus. Big sister is by far the toughest opponent Serena has ever faced. Serena is 16-11 against Venus. However, Venus' 11 wins are the most victories any player has against Serena. Venus has also defeated Serena in a Grand Slam final. Nobody left in the tournament has even beaten Serena at a Slam.An

Image
Hillary Clinton on Today doubled down on recent misleading statements about her use of a private email server at the State Department, even as she acknowledged that she "may have short-circuited" her answers about it. At a gathering of black and Hispanic journalists in Washington, D.C., Clinton -- who has come under fire for not often taking media questions -- was asked about her recent assertion that FBI Director James Comey had said she was "truthful" to the public in discussing the issue, a claim that a number of media outlets, including CNN, have debunked. She said "I was pointing out in both of those instances, that Director Comey had said that my answers in my FBI interview were truthful. That really is the bottom line here," she said. "What I told the FBI, which he said was truthful, is consistent with what I have said publicly. I may have short-circuited and for that I will try to clarify."Clinton went on to repeat that she "

President Obama: Trump's allegation of "Rigging" Ridiculous

Image
The advertised purpose of President Barack Obama's pre-vacation news conference Thursday was to throw more light about gains in the war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria with the Pentagon as a backdrop. But for all his talk of terrorism, Russia and other geopolitical challenges, the underlying argument he wanted to make was clear: it's a serious business being commander-in-chief and the Republican who wants his job isn't fit for the Oval Office.Obama ridiculed Donald Trump's recent suggestion that the election system could be rigged, called on the candidate to act like a president since he's soon to be briefed on confidential information and implied that he didn't believe the billionaire businessman could be trusted with America's nuclear codes."Just listen to what Mr. Trump has to say and make your own judgment with respect to how confident you feel about his ability to manage things like our nuclear triad," he said in response toa quest

Rihanna wants to stop any feud between Eminem and Drake

Image
The possible upcoming rap feud between Eminem and Drake has their mutual pal and collaborator Rihanna terrified she’ll have to pick a side.  We all know she is totally hoping the two will be able to put aside drama.“The last thing Rihanna needs is another feud between two men who she cares about. And Drake, he’s got a little problem. First it was Chris and Drake, now Eminem and Drake.  She’s going to sit Drake’s a** down .Drake, 29,really does seem to get into feuds more often than most other rappers, it’s just a darn good thing that RiRi, 28, wasn’t also friends with Meek Mill, 28, after their epic rap battle from 2015, where Drizzy came out on top.“She doesn’t want to be put in the middle of this mayhem because she loves Eminem and has so many great memories when they toured on Monster. And Drake, that’s her friend, her brother, her lover and sometimes her man. She can’t stop them though. She knows boys will be boya ,they always have something to prove to one another. Whatever.
