  27 year old Jerry McCabe who ran away from police during an attempted traffic stop fled from his car and took off running with his 5-year-old son.  According to police he kept urging his son to run faster but when they got to a barrier, he left his son behind and jumped over a barbed wire because his son couldn’t keep up. According to a Pembroke Pines police arrest report, McCabe was driving a Dodge Charger without a valid license when an officer tried to stop him but McCabe refused to stop and led the officer on a carchase, weaving in and out of traffic.Eventually, the car’s two driver’s side tires blew out, so McCabe and his son got out and ran away, the report said.Police said the officer chased after them on foot and ordered them to stop, but they kept running.
