You Can't Even Wear Summer's Hottest Accessory

Accessories that tend to trend this time of year usually go: sunglasses, sandals, swimwear, shorts. The classic items that take us from beach to pool and picnic to party. For 2017, there's an additional accessory becoming everyone's new favourite: the statement inflatable.

Whether it's a swan, a flamingo, a giant watermelon slice or even a lobster - no high-summer holiday Instagram post is complete without one of these plastic-fantastic pieces.

Take for instance, Kendall and Kylie Jenner's latest swimwear lookbook, the minimalist pieces might have taken centre stage but the addition of a Sunnylife - the brand that does them best - palm-print chair and metallic pink flamingo brought the fun summer sass.

Taylor Swift and her former beau, Calvin Harris, were the first to introduce the world to the aesthetic power of an oversized inflatable. The pair cosied up on a white swan design, while Victoria Beckham - naturally - prefers the gold, and gave her's the name Nancy.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
