Lawyer sues Governor Fayose for joining NLC strike
A legal advisor, Kabir Akingbolu has sued
Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state at the
Government High Court in Lagos state, for
joining the progressing specialists' strike in the
state. »
Akingbolu said Fayose's activity adds up to
surrender of his obligations as Representative.
The Ekiti state Representative in June 2016, joined
the government employees' strike after endeavors to make
them come back to work demonstrated unsuccessful.
Fayose additionally disclosed that he chose to join
the laborers to express his sympathy toward their
situation.
Premium Times reports that Akingbolu said
"Considering the procurement of Segment 176
subsection 1 and 2 of the Constitution whether
the renouncement of obligation by the first Litigant in
foolhardy deserting is not an infringement of Promise of
office taken by him as Legislative head of Ekiti."
The legal counselor asked the court to pronounce that
Fayose has lost his position as the state
Senator, including that he didn't hand over to
his appointee.
Akingbolu additionally advised the court to request President
Buhari to proclaim a highly sensitive situation in Ekiti
state to hinder any breakdown of law and
request.
