Sylvester Stallone Actor set to star in TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's "Omerta"

Awesome news for every Mario Puzo's "Omerta" fan out there.
Sylvester Stallone is reportedly finalizing a deal to star in Antoine Fuqua's TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's 'Omerta', which will be the three-time Oscar nominee's first scripted TV series.

The TV adaptation of Mario Puzo's 'Omerta' , which is the final book in the author's mafia trilogy that started with 'The Godfather' and
'The Last Don', is also yet to find an attached network.
Hollywood Reporter reveals that Stallone is expected to play the mafia head at the center of the story.
Sources have reportedly revealed that the pilot could film as early as summer, this year, suggesting that the project will soon be shopped to cable and streaming services.
The reports also reveal that Stallone is currently attached as an executive producer to NBC's unscripted fitness competition Strong , which debuted to poor numbers earlier this month.
The book on which it's based was published posthumously in 2000, a year after the two-time Oscar-winning author's death.

The WME-repped star's profile has been higher in film, with his lengthy résumé which includes blockbusters such as the Rocky and
Expendables franchises.
