court rejects Karim Benzema's Appeal

Karim Benzema 28, remains under strict Police investigation with regards an alleged charged of blackmail attempt on his  National team-mate Mathieu Valbuena,and one of his defense lawyers tought the case was going to be over today .  
 The Los Blancos Striker was taken into police custody and charged with conspiracy to blackmail the Lyon midfielder, he was put under court supervision which means he is prohibited from meeting with Valbuena or any other people charged in the case.
his Lawyer  Sylvain Cormier has always protested the player’s innocence, stating back November 2015: “Karim Benzema will show his good faith in this affair - as soon as possible, I hope,” Cormier announced.His Lawyer Said ;
“He did not participate in anything he is accused of, no blackmail or extortion. This thing doesn't make any sense.
“He has been accused and charged by the prosecution. This is not proof of culpability; it's only the beginning of the affair.”
While proceedings are ongoing, the striker's phone has been tapped by the  french police, who can listen to his conversations, and  Benzema who scored the first goal for his club who are currently in Japan for the Club World Cup said  on Thursday, had appealed to have this condition revoked.
His appeal, which was based around this method of investigation being inappropriate for his case, has been rejected by the court.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
