Court Of Appeal Dismisses Bukola Saraki's Application to Stop His CCT trial
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has seen his application dismissed by the Coirt Of Appeal In Abuja challenging the jurisdiction of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to entertain the charges of false asset declaration leveled against him by the Federal government.
Giving Verdict on Saraki's application today, Justice Abdul Aboki who led the five-man panel ruled that the appeal is unmeritorious and was then entirely dismissed.
The judges unanimously agreed that the tribunal was constitutionally empowered to entertain and try him for the 16-charges of corruption and false asset declaration brought against him.
