U .S male basketball team defeats Serbia 96-66 to win Gold in Rio

      They have done it again is there no stopping The United States in Basketball???. They clinched the Gold medal in Rio by beating Serbia after a thrilling final Game..see how it all went down



     What a game! In a fight to the finish on Aug. 21, both Teams put out a Fantastic performance and alot  of sportsmanship.
Congratulations are in order for the champions, Team USA, who made sure they ruled the  2016 Rio Olympics very welk.
Both teams played with a lot of heart and spirit, but Only one team is allowed to tale the Gold home and today OT was The U.S.
 After traveling down the strenuous road to Rio for many weeks, This Team USA must be very happy and contented  to pull out such a wonderful and dazzling  win of 96 to 66 points and take home the gold.
In our eyes, both teams are considered champions for the amount of effort and training they put into preparing for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. It goes without saying that head coach Mike Krzyzewski is very proud of his players for fighting through that nail-biting shootout. This is the third consecutive gold medal for Team USA!Leading up to the finals, both Serbia and the US maintained a strong winning streak. The US pulled out multiple victories over China,Argentina, Spain, Australia, France and even played against Serbia a few weeks back. Meanwhile, Serbia dominated over Australia as well, and Croatia. In America, the sport of basketball is all the rage thanks to the NBA, but it’s interesting to know that we have worthy opponents who share the same dream scattered across the globe. Competing for bronze on Aug. 21 as well was Australia versus Spain.Spain won by only one point,Spain  who walked away with a 89-88 victory, and took home thebronze.
    The last time the men’s national basketball team won gold was in 2012 against Opponents Spain, when LeBron James was appointed leader of the team. The first time TeamUSA competed in the Olympics was back in 1936, and they have been in control and thrilling aufience since then. We’re so proud of our twelve talented players who fought through  a fair game and didn’t let the win interfere with their sportsmanship and love for the sport.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
