Reverend sisters at St Louis cc Ondo denies paying ransom for abducted colleagues
A gathering in the Catholic Church says no
payment was paid to secure the arrival of
Reverend Sisters Perpetua Apo and
Roseline Familade, and their driver,
Zwugwa Zibaia kidnapped as of late.

Isabel Mann , Common Pioneer, and Sisters of
St. Louis, Nigeria Territory, got by the
News Office of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
The announcement clarified that the abductors had
reached the Sisters of St. Louis and
requested a payment of N20million.
"We are appreciative to God that on May 22, the day
the Catholic Church praised the Gala of the
Blessed Trinity; they were discharged from bondage.
"It is extremely unlikely the Sisters of St Louis could
part with the sum they requested for
buy-off. We are a religious assembly that
relies on upon philanthropy," it said.
The announcement, notwithstanding, denied reports charging
that a payoff of N2.5 million was paid to
secure their discharge.
"Following 10 days in bondage and a few
threatening telephone calls from their abductors,
the sisters and the driver were discharged without
any payoff.
"We wish to utilize this medium to revise these
false stories, and we need to completely state
that no payoff was paid by the Congregation or by
our Assembly."
The announcement said that the Congregation played a
key part through her supplications, support and
direction amid the period.
"We express our appreciation to Diocesans Felix
Ajakaye of Ekiti, Albert Fasina of Ijebu Tribute and
Jude Arogundade of Ondo for their backing.
"We thank the clerics, religious and lay loyal
in Ondo See who committed the entire of
Friday May 20, 2016 to
appealing to God for their discharge," it said.
It additionally refreshing Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of
Ondo State, the Controller General of Police
Solomon Arase and other security work force in

NAN reports that the two sisters and their driver
were grabbed in Ondo State on Thursday, May
12, 2016.

vehicle separated at Kajola, along the Lagos-
Mineral Street.
When a minister and a workman got to the
scene to offer them help, the two sisters
