Muhammadu Buhari President to have second territorial security summit in Abuja

President Muhammadu will have the second Territorial Security Summit in Abuja on Saturday, an announcement issued by the Presidential Representative, Mr Femi Adesina , on Tuesday in Abuja said.

The announcement said that the occasion is in advancement of continuous endeavors by the Buhari organization to upgrade the security of lives, property and interests in Nigeria and neighboring nations.

It said that President Francois Hollande of France, who facilitated the principal Local Security Summit in

Paris on May 17, 2014, would take part in the second version.

As per the announcement, Hollande, who is planned to land in Abuja on Friday on an official visit to Nigeria, will be joined by the Presidents of Cameroon, Niger Republic, Chad and Benin Republic.

Besides, it said that the U.S., England, Tropical Guinea, the European Union, ECOWAS Commission, the Financial People group of Focal African States and the Inlet of Guinea Commission would likewise be spoken to at the summit.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
