In Texas, woman arrested with narcotic possession, fetus found in her purse

The suspect, Bernadette Rivera, 32, had been arrested at a park in San Antonio on Thursday night, April 28, 2016 on the grounds of several felonies worth of narcotics, including heroin and methamphetamine, which were reportedly found near her private area.
Local TV station, KENS-TV reports that during the search, Rivera had openly told officers of the fetus in her purse, explaining that she recently had a miscarriage.
San Antonio Police Department Public Information Officer, Romana Lopez , said:
"Rivera left the hospital with the remains deciding that she would determine the disposal of them."
Police officers reportedly discovered the decomposing tissue, estimated to be about 8 weeks old and about two inches long, inside a small plastic Q-Tip box which had been covered by napkins inside Rivera's purse.
Detectives have also revealed that Rivera's possession of the fetus is not a criminal case and that she will only be charged with possession of narcotics.
