Nigerians react to Appeal Court’s decision on Senate President’s case

The Court of Appeal in Abuja, today, October 30,
2015, dismissed the appeal filed by Senate
President, Bukola Saraki in a bid to stop his trial
at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
The CCT is trying Saraki on charges of asset
declaration fraud brought against him by the
Code of Conduct Bureau.

U.S government to Host 19 Northern Governors next week

The US  government will host 19 Northern state governors in its Capital,Washington DC next week.  They will be visiting the states at the invitation of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).The Governors  will  also be participating in the Northern Nigeria Governors Symposium on  Tuesday October 18th to Friday October 21st. The USIP Senior Advisors and former ambassadors, Princeton Lyman and Johnnie Carson who addressed a pre-symposium media briefing yesterday October 12th, said the institute’s Northern Governors’ symposium was designed and formed amongst other things tobfind a way to bring peace to the Northern Part of Nigeria.
