Speaking at the Nigerian Army Guards Brigade Regimental Dinner,President Buhari said the main reason he was removed from office in 1985 was because he did not devalue the Naira and increase the price of fuel and Flour as was directed by the IMF and the World Bank
     "I refused and gave my reasons and the next thing I knew I was removed and detained for three and half years. As a civilian president I will do my best and I’m telling you all these because you are part of the leadership of this great country and God willing we will remain great”he said

U.S government to Host 19 Northern Governors next week

The US  government will host 19 Northern state governors in its Capital,Washington DC next week.  They will be visiting the states at the invitation of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).The Governors  will  also be participating in the Northern Nigeria Governors Symposium on  Tuesday October 18th to Friday October 21st. The USIP Senior Advisors and former ambassadors, Princeton Lyman and Johnnie Carson who addressed a pre-symposium media briefing yesterday October 12th, said the institute’s Northern Governors’ symposium was designed and formed amongst other things tobfind a way to bring peace to the Northern Part of Nigeria.
