The two went on stage and faced each other, nodded in acknowledgement of each others’ presence and then turned to face the audience. THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHAKE HANDS ,this has got to be a first intelevised presidential debates because it is basic decorum. It was a total bellwether of the nobeauty of the debate that was to come.when watching you could feel the tension in the room as the pair kept their distance and barely registered each other’s presence initially.     We all kept waiting and hoping for that eventual handshake but they didn't do it.
