Suspects Responsible for the kidnapping of Iba of Lagos Caught by Police

 The Oniba of Iba, Lagos State, Oba Yushau Goriala Oseni, who was kidnapped by these suspected gun men, regained his freedoom on  Saturday August 6th. The Lagos State Police Command brought out

 the two arrested suspects during a press conference and while being interviewed by journalists, they said they were nine of them that were involved in the act  that led to the kidnap of the monarch.
The two suspects - Isaiah Ododomu and Toba Forejo  said they were involved in illegal oil bunkering but were stopped from the business due to the renewed efforts of government against them, adding that they were arrestedon Saturday at Iyana School in Lagos. Narrating how the attack was carried out, Isaiah said:"I was involved in illegal bunkering. As this government stopped bunkering, our leaders arranged another group and this mission of the new group was to start kidnapping and use it to manage ourselves since we can't do oil bunkering again. I am a married man, I don't have anyjob to do. We used to do security for those main guys and anytime they make about N500, 000 they will give us like N20,000.”

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
