Niger Delta Avengers are fighting for a selfish cause says VP Osinbajo

VP Yemi Osinbajo has

hammered the Niger Delta Justice fighters saying

they are battling for their egotistical reason.

Osinbajo additionally said the activists are battling for

their pockets and not for the Niger Delta area

as they claim.

The VP faulted the activist gathering

for the financial downturn in the nation.

He said "The Niger Delta Justice fighters are most certainly not

opportunity warriors, they are not battling for any

opportunity, they battle for their pockets. You

can't explode pipelines and intensify the

issue of the locale and be stating you are

battling for flexibility.

"It is not adequate for anyone under any appearance

to vandalize and say they are avenging, that

is not adequate."

VP Yemi Osinbajo said this while

conveying an address titled: "The Future: Here

Sooner Than We Suspected", at the second

Establishment's Day Address of the Elizade

College, Ilara Mokin in Ondo State.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
