We only go after Economic criminals says Efcc boss
The Executive of the Economic and financial crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has denied claims that the counter unite office is on a political witch-chase.
He said the Commission just follows "hoodlums", taking note of that anybody welcomed by the EFCC can't be pure as it welcomes individuals after careful examinations and after confirmation has been found.
He expressed this on a Channels television program,
Question Time .
"We don't pursue blameless individuals; we explore individuals before we capture them. We take after the cash, we follow when you recieved the cash, and we likewise examine how you used the cash," he said.
"That is the reason anyone that is welcomed here won't tell the truth, since we get our work done before we welcome you. We may explore for a year or six months and the individual would not know."
Magu said the office won't extra anyone, as it will after any degenerate individual independent of his or her economic wellbeing.
He said: "There is no holy cow, we will follow anyone who has stolen the assets of the general population. We have no reservations.
"We battle defilement both inside and outside. We don't follow guiltless individuals for political reasons, we are pursuing the criminals of state assets."
Magu depicted London as the "base camp of government evasion", taking note of that is the destination of thieves.
"London is the capital of IRS evasion; it is the place all the stolen cash is covered up. It has given an asylum to all the degenerate persons and stolen cash from all conditions of the world.
"Truth be told, it is the home office of tax evasion. The majority of the stolen cash are concealed either by properties or in banks or as physical money."
