Yesterday (Monday, May 3, 2016) pop singer Lady Gaga, 30, made an appearance at the MET Gala dressed in a silver corset-style leotard that can best be described as bizarre. The silver corset helped Gaga reveal her bum on the red carpet. If this was six years ago Lady Gaga would have dominated the headlines a day after the MET Gala » . Unfortunately times have moved on and hardly any fuss was made about Lady Gaga’s outfit. Her brand of shock appeal is no longer shocking or appealing. Many pop culture enthusiasts have wondered about what led to the downfall of one of pop music’s most visually exciting acts in recent years. In 2008 Lady Gaga made her grand entrance into the industry along with visually compelling imagery and wonderful songs with addictive hooks. Lady Gaga whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was a sight to behold. Apart from her crazy symbols and weird form of pop art Lady Gaga helped restore the dying industry of the music video. She turned her music videos into an event. Hundreds of millions of people will be glued to their TV sets when a Lady Gaga video is about to be premiered. What made this crazier was that the Internet was in full swing at this time. Beyond music, Lady Gaga was refreshing to see as a celebrity. Her crazy get up on red carpets always had people talking. If she didn’t appear dressed in raw meat then she would be tucked in an egg. Lady Gaga was just exciting to watch as a celebrity. No one could predict what she was going to do next. During this period she was so popular that the mighty Beyonce had to share the spotlight with her. Unfortunately by 2011 Lady Gaga’s star power had started to wane. People were no longer shocked by her. Later on Lady Gaga was becoming a bore. Her last album failed to electrify her fans and the music scene. Her other shenanigans failed to stun people. What went wrong with her? Lady Gaga forgot the plot. In the beginning she released really good songs then added the visual imagery as an added bonus. Later on, at the height of her success Gaga sacrificed good music for gimmicks which failed to stick in our minds. It was at this point that Lady Gaga lost it all. The core of her marketing trick was lost and she hasn't been able to recreate that magic. I can’t remember the last time I heard a good Lady Gaga song. Things haven’t been all bad for her. Last year Lady Gaga expertly played the role of a vampire queen in the fifth season of the TV series ' American Horror Story '. Her acting was so good that she won a Golden Globe » for her role. Who knows maybe Lady Gaga’s acting success can rejuvenate her celebrity status. Is it over for Lady Gaga? No she still has a shot to comeback if she goes back to the original script.

Four Feared Dead in Ivory Coast Crash.

A cargo plane has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast, close to Abidjan airport, killing four people and injuring six. The wreckage of the turboprop plane, which was carrying ten people, was swept toward a beach where rescuers treated surviving crewmen on the sand. All four of the dead are Moldovan while four French nationals and two Moldovans were injured. Local police told AFP the aircraft had been trying to land when it crashed. According to local news site Ivoire Matin one person was taken into custody after the crash. It is unclear if they are a member of the crew. Reuters news agency reports that the plane crashed during a storm with heavy rain and lightning. The plane was a Ukrainian-made Antonov chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation Barkhane, a French military source told AFP
