Kristen Stewart Is Ready To Bring Lizzie Borden’s Famous Murder Spree To Life
Kristen Stewart is getting back to her suspense story roots by helping to bring one of America’s most heinous historical crimes to cinematic life.
The actress, who got her big break in the heart-pounding 2002 thriller “Panic Room,” will star in the true tale of Lizzie Borden, a woman who was infamously tried and acquitted of murdering her father and stepmother with a hatchet in 1892.According to our sources KStew will portray the family’s live-in maid Bridget Sullivan, who testified at Borden’s trial and may or may not have actually been home during the grisly attacks. Meanwhile, “American Horror Story” star
Chloë Sevigny will portray Borden herself.
The Lizzie Borden trial was most recently tackled for a TV movie starring Christina Ricci, titled “Lizzie Borden Took an Ax” after the creepy AF children’s rhyme that spawned from the incident (“Lizzie Borden took an ax/ and gave her mother 40 whacks/ When the job was finally done/ she gave her father 41″ — sweet dreams, kids!).
